We were welcomed by the owner who lives in a detached property a short walk away. He told us a little about the conversion of the corn mill to a residence and let us explore it for ourselves. It is spacious, clean, wellequipped and would suit a family with children as much as it suited we two adults since it has toys, games, books and DVDs aplenty. The bread, butter, milk, tea, cereals and other groceries were a pleasant surprise. Situated on the edge of a small village access to Llanrhystud, Aberystwyth and Aberaeron begins via quiet country lanes. We visited these as well as places further afield during our stay and had a pleasant, relaxing time. We would have no hesitation in booking again should we revisit the area.

Nice specious property. Lots of indoor games and activities for the kids. Close to Devil's Bridge and Elan Valley.

An absolute gem of a place. Set in quiet surroundings with only the sound of nature to be heard. A spacious and comfortable cottage with lots of it's original features. There were so many little personal touches that made us feel at home and very welcome. There was a little issue with the boiler cutting out a couple of times but the owner was aware of this and currently seeking a remedy, he promptly sorted the issue for a temporary fix for us though. Would absolutely recommend this property to everyone.

The property is wonderful, and the hosts, Terry and Diana, could not be more kind or helpful. The cottage has absolutely everything you could possibly need for your stay, and more. It is a magnificent place to stay to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Due to the propertys age, it presents some challenges for more elderly folk in that floors are uneven and there are tricky steps inside the cottage to negotiate particularly to access the upstairs bathroom This said, it is a fantastic holiday let, and despite the unpredictable Welsh weather, the cottage guarantees a fabulous stay. Felin Iago is undoubtedly one of the best equipped self catering cottages in which I have ever stayed. So much thought has gone into its preparation by the owners I highly recommend this place to families.

Cottage is very spacious set in a beautiful and peaceful location. Owners very nice and helpful. Children really enjoyed the toys and games provided.

A lovely, oldstyle house that feels cosy and comfortable, full of character. It had design details like exposed beams and decorative accessories made it feel unique. It immediately felt like home and had everything we needed to relax and be comfortable. Located in a quiet village, its a peaceful place to stay. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, living room full of board games and books and a small garden area where you can make BBQ.

What a find. Lovely roomy cottage with a fantastic atmosphere, a little off the beaten track so quiet and restful, but quickly to all the local sites and hotspots. It offers everything you could want in terms of equipment in the kitchen, and the furniture and beds are very comfortable. We only used two of the three bedrooms but it can sleep eight in proper beds. Toilet and basin upstairs, and toilet, shower and bath in three separate rooms downstairs so there would never be a fight for the facilities! Families would love the way children are considered with cot, toys and games available. Central heating and all the hot water you could want are the practical things you want but there is also a log burning stove. The history evident from the old timbers from its days as a working mill add something special to the property. The owners live next door but never intrusive. A great cottage.

Beautiful period property lovingly restored in a peaceful location, clean, comfortable, with much thought to provide a home from home atmosphere which made our stay a real pleasure. The host Terry was very attentative to our requests and made our time there hassle free, it was a real dream stay which will live with us and become a talking point to while away many future hours.

We had an excellent week at the cottage , it had everything you would need . We were wanting a quiet rest full holiday and the cottage and its beautiful surroundings gave us that . The owners were very helpful and friendly. In all a great stay and would recommend to anyone .

An absolutely stunning property, well set up and maintained well. Spacious with plenty of seating areas for a group of people or large family. The area is very quiet and pleasant with a stream running almost past the front door.

Thanks for a great stay the place was perfect for our needs. We really appreciated the kids books and toys for our toddler, and my partner was able to work remotely comfortably throughout the trip. Initially a bit chilly but we spoke to Diane and Terry and they were quick to sort it out for us. Generally really responsive and helpful cottage owners. Wed definitely recommend the place to others.

The cottage is very well appointed and had everything we needed. The milk, bread and butter was much appreciated. We loved the fire and the real Christmas tree. Hearing about the mills history and seeing the photos was fantastic. Thank you for a very relaxing and comfortable Christmas holiday.

Felin Lago was a super holiday cottage it had everything we needed we did have little problem with the boiler having the owner lives next door they would pop in and tweak the boiler they were waiting for an engineer to come but it didnt cost us too much problem we will have no problem in recommending this holiday cottage to any of our friends, only problem I found we needed light over the cooker so I could see the numbers on the dial but it did not stop me cooking lovely breakfast and evening meal Im looking forward to visiting this holiday cottage again.

We all enjoyed our week staying in this old quaint property The hosts were very welcoming and we appreciated the milk, butter bread etc in the fridge. Kitchen well supplied with utensils Take your own hair dryer. Weather was very mixed this week, but we were able to get about and the cottage was cosy to return to. Our daughter enjoyed showing her two nephews her University nearby. Comfortable beds and as there is an upstairs toilet going down stairs for a bath or shower proved no problem. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. Thank you Terry and Diane.

We had a lovely holiday at Felin Iago. The bed combination was perfect for us and the beds were very comfy. It was fairly wellequipped. The picture is a bit deceiving re outside space which is minimal and not suitable for little kids to play but there were lots of toys inside. The cottage is not in Llanrhystud, as listed, but in Llangwyryfon which was annoying as my parents booked a cottage in Llanrhystud thinking we would be really close but it was a good 15 mins drive away down very narrow lanes. But all in all a good comfortable base for exploring the area.

Felon Lego is a very good milk conversion, giving a spacious, quirky yet homely feel to the accomodation. It is situated in a very peaceful area, and is perfect for those wanting a quiet getaway. The owners directions were excellent, in a very rural setting day navs aren't always the answer! The only negative for us was the lack of outside playing space for the children.What was described as an enclosed garden in the information is,in fact, a small patio area Anyone without children, no problem, small children used to a large garden will find it problematical. Some of the local towns, especially Aberystwyth, seem very run down, and in need of substantial investment, nothing the property owners can do about that, but it was one of the factors affecting the rating given. All in all, a lovely house, but beware , no safe outside play area for children.

We have stayed at Felin Lago many times now and always enjoy our holiday. It is the perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Well equipped and comfortable with everything you could possibly need provided.

Very large property with all the amenities we needed. A little quirky in the layout but fully functional and we soon got used to it! Our hosts were very helpful and approachable. A very comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful week. All the little accessories such as tea bags, washing tablets and dishwasher tablets and more were very helpful and such a thoughtful gesture as we had forgotten dishwasher tablets. The cottage was clean and homely and spacious plus set in a beautiful quiet lane. This was our second visit snd we will definitely be back again! We visited many nearby places such as constitution hill and the steam railway taking us a lovely ride to devils bridge, we also visited the botanical gardens which gives you a free day return which was useful as we didnt get to see everything the first time! We also visited mwnt beach which is a beautiful little cove with Sandy puddles for the children to play in. We had a lovely day in aberearon and a visit to Oakwood theme park. There was so many lovely places to visit. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the property. Booking was made with ease. The cottage itself has clearly been put together with love. It was well equipped for children and adults a like. As long as you're comfortable with country roads, the location was good too. The hosts were friendly and approachable!

We enjoyed our stay. Just what we wanted. Peace and quiet. Lovely owners. Very quirky and historic. Only downside for me with me having mobility problems stairs were a bit difficult. Nothing to hold on to in shower.

An excellent holiday in beautiful quiet countryside. Accommodation and facilities really comfortable. Host friendly and helpful. Found a few wonderful eateries close by. E.g The Black Lion in Llanrhystud. The Harbourmaster in Aberaeron. Really enjoyed the holiday.

Another comfortable stay at Felin Lago. Been many times and already booked for later in the year. Great location, great hosts, been home for 24 hours but already looking forward to our next stay in this home from home.

There was 7 of us and we didnt feel cramped for room. All the bedrooms were cosy and roomy. In a peaceful setting amidst beautiful countryside. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week. Certainly well equipped for young children. Would recommend.

What a wonderful place to stay! Had a fabulous get together with friends and all of our children. Wonderfully placed in a central location for days out in New Quay, Borth, Aberystwyth and many more places! Terry and Diane are lovely and extremely helpful, thank you both for sharing your amazing dwelling of peace with us, we hope to be back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay here. A very comfortable cottage, and a lot of thought has gone into furnishing and equipping it for guests. The kitchen is well equipped making it easy to cook large meals, and we really appreciated the hot powerful shower. The owners were friendly and helpful, and my husband enjoyed the opportunity to have a look at their model railway layout. Our only minor gripe was that the kitchen would benefit from more light in the evenings, as the area around the cooker is not directly lit.

We were a family of 4 adults and 2 children 4 year old and a 10 month old having a two week break at the end of October beginning of November. The property was perfect for us and we loved it. The converted old stone mill was spacious with three bedrooms and upstairs toilet a large family farmhouse style well equipped kitchen a cute inglenook for escaping to for a quiet moment best of all was the well furnished, very spacious halllike sitting room. Here, the room was divided into TVfireplace area, the other end provided boardgames, shelved booksDVD selection, playpen and giant dollhouse and gorgeous rocking horse with more seating. The hosts really made a great effort in providing amusements for children as well as adults. This was particularly important for the time of the year of our visit with the very changeable weather conditions. Unfortunatly the outside areas French doors to the table and chairs in the garden was not used due to weather but I'm sure lovely in summer and springtime. The downstairs toiletbathroomshowerlaundry area was well appointed and the laundry dryer and washing machine well used. Heating and water etc. worked well and there was plenty of firewood provided for firemaking in the evenings. Terry and Diane the hosts were in residence next door and helpful and friendly for all queries and informative on the history of the buildings. If the opportunity arises for us in the future we would certainly hire Felin Iago again and would also recommend this Sykes Cottage.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage it is was very well equiped and comfortable and the owners looked after us well. A very relaxing week in a quiet and peaceful setting.

Felin Iago is an absolutely gorgeous property in a very lovely part of Wales. The house is spacious and comfortable and kitted out with everything we needed to make our stay with 7 people comfortable and pleasant. The owners are friendly and their love of the house which they renovated themselves from an old watermill is evident. The location is certainly remote, but not impractically so and it remains relatively easy to pop over to Aberystwyth to get anything you need. All in all I can't recommend Felin Iago enough, we had a great time and it was a great place.

Fabulous cottage, competitively priced and so much space and comfort for a family of 5. Quiet location about 10mins from nearest A road which suits us and not too far 2030mins from the best beaches and Aberystwyth. Really good WIFI which isn't always the case in holiday homes and I'd put it up there with Blaenywawr for Sykes cottage WiFi performance, if that's important. Beds very comfy, very helpful hosts and friendly neighborhood. Nice sized TV for chilling out in the evening, you can't go wrong here!
