10 Bridge Street Reviews

Barbara
What a fabulous cottage. The owners have done a wonderful improvement. Enjoyed the Green Man celebrations.
Gareth
We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is beautiful and perfect for a large group. The beds were so comfy and we had the best stay. The location is beautiful and within walking distance of a couple of pubs and cafes. Unlike many other rental properties the kitchen was very well appointed and we will be booking to stay here again.

This is a superb property, renovated to a very high standard, with such a homely feel. Everything has been thought of, even down to lighting the log fire for us before arrival and leaving a lovely welcome pack. The oak extension is a wonderful area to celebrate with friends family, or to quietly read or do jigsaws. The kitchen is very well equipped, and lots of essentials provided for. The setting on the river is delightful, within easy walking distance of pubs, shops and cafes.

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 nights at 10 Bridge Street. If you are looking for a stay in a beautiful, spacious house thats spotlessly clean, provides everything you can think of kitchen, toiletries and comfort wise, is situated in a stunning area with a river and castle on your doorstep then this is the place for you. Four adults, 3 children and 2 dogs had the best time possible and didnt want to leave. Thank you.
We loved our stay at this beautiful house. . A The care and thoughtfulness that has gone into making this a beautiful holiday home was evident throughout every room. The decor is beautiful and the furniture, bedding, towels, crockery, equipment etc all of such a high standard and wow that woodburner! The comfortable outdoor area was just perfect to relax and listen to the river while watching the lovely world of lovely Clun go by and so many beautiful walks from the doorstep and further afield. Both local pubs were so friendly and welcoming. Just perfect and delightful. Highly recommend

What a delightful property super cosy and contained everything you needed for the perfect stay. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas and it was a lovely warm welcome to arrive to a crackling fire and some seasonal goodies what a great touch. Sofa was huge and super comfy and the living room was wonderfully cosy. Plenty of space for my motherinlaw, ourselves and our teenage daughter to both be together and have our own areas so worked perfectly. Location was superb too with a very well stocked local spar, two nice local pubs, a lovely cafe the postcard cafe and beautiful walks from the doorstep. Cleaning standards were top notch and despite the cottage being dog friendly there was no smell of dog anywhere so don't let this put you off if like us you don't have dogs yourself. Owners were lovely and very accommodating and we all had a wonderful stay. Would not hesitate to recommend!
Fabulous cottage and the Christmas decorations made it even more special. Very warm and well appointed. There was everything you could need. It certainly lived up to the description. Clun is a lovely village and ideally placed for exploring the Marches.
The house at 10 Bridge Street was the PERFECT place for our midwinter get away. It is so cosy and perfectly situated in the middle of the beautiful village of Clun which has a couple of good pubs, a local shop and more. The house is very comfortable, with beautiful bed linen, nice touches in the bathrooms and lots of warm places to relax. We loved the wood burner which pumps out loads of heat and the kitchen is very well equipped. There are loads of walks right on your doorstep in the beautiful Shropshire hills. We would definitely return to the house for a stay in stunning Shropshire.
We all thought 10 Bridge Street was a marvellous place to stay. Arrived in the dark to a welcoming, warm and festively decorated home that had everything possibly needed for a comfortable stay. House is modern mixed with history, very clean and set in a beautiful location by the river in a lovely village. Would recommend a stay here to anyone, we will be back soon, thanks.

10 Bridge Street was one of the best properties I have stayed in. I have stayed in many over the years. It was beautifully and thoughtfully restored, furnished and equipped by the owners. The attention to quality, detail and comfort throughout was most impressive. The owners were very helpful. Helen very kindly lit the wood fire to ensure the cottage was warmed through by the time I arrived. This was most welcome after driving down from Glasgow. It was perfect for the weeks songwriting my cowriter, who lives at the other end the country from me, and I had planned for my next album. The space and the surroundings meant that we could get some good work done and were also able to enjoy restoring hing walks from the door, especially around Clun Castle, as well as the delights of the excellent Postcard Caf on the other side of the bridge. The living room was perfect in which unwind after a days graft. Thank you Helen and Aubrey, we couldnt have chosen better!
What a beautiful cottage in a lovely location! From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay and the welcome pack including dog treats meant no one was forgotten. The kitchen table was big enough to seat 8 adults and was a great area for us to sit and eat and play games in the evening. The lounge was so cosy with a log burner. It comfortably seated everyone. Each of the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The whole cottage was immaculate and beautifully clean everything was catered for for a relaxing stay. We will definitely be back!

An absolutely delightful cottage and holiday let. As regular users of holiday cottages this must rank amongst the very best if not THE best. It is immaculately clean, brilliantly equipped and ideally located. We just loved it and will be coming back.
We were a group of 4, spending 5 days walking in the Shropshire Hills and, for us, the property was as near perfect as it could possibly be. It has been refurbished to a high standard, is comfortable, clean and provided all the facilities that we could have required. Its location is perfect and for 3 of the walks that we undertook we simply needed to walk out of the front door. I would particularly recommend the walk up to Bury Ditches Hill Fort and also out to the Offa's Dyke trail. If you like beer which we do, the White Horse Inn is only a couple of minutes walk away. It has a good range of proper local beers including some brewed on the premises. We also enjoyed their pub food and if you like a steak pudding with your pint, I would advise calling in earlier in the day to put your order in as daily supplies are limited. It's worth it.
Property was lovely beds comfortable plenty of seating with lovely outside covered seating area. Local pub does a good Sunday lunch.well stocked spar shop. Owners left tea coffee sugar milk and biscuits. Only down side was the television reception which was dreadful, having an elderly relative with us it was a problem in the evening as she loves to watch the soaps but TV continually freezing or losing the picture completely was very annoying.
Michael
An outstanding property with everything you could wish for. Property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Great location to explore the surrounding area and towns Shropshire has to offer. I would have no hesitation in returning to 10 Bridge Street.
Nicola
Wow what a wonderful property with such a great story and history. It has been renovated to such a high standard and it spotlessly clean we loved our stay. It's also in a great location, next to the river where the children can plan and over the bridge from a super caf serving gorgeous coffee and food in a quirky environment. We also ordered a lovely takeout meal from the local pub, as it's not always easy to sit in restaurants with small children. All in all a wonderful experience thank you!
Elaine
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. Set in a quiet village with beautiful views, it was the perfect peaceful getaway. The cottage was very clean, wellequipped, and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable, which made for a great nights sleep. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a charming setting.
Great property, well thought out, outside seating area is great and well covered, plenty of room inside, bedrooms very comfortable. Had a great time, coffee shop across the bridge was good and a great place to watch the world go by. Highly recommend this property.
We stayed here for ten weeks. It was glorious! Helen and Aubrey could not have been kinder or more helpful. The house is lovely and accommodates a good sized family. It has been renovated with real craftsmanship and character. The facilities are absolutely top rate. We have stayed in a lot of places in the area and this one was just brilliant! The house is amazing. The location is superb if you have kids or a dog just spend your time paddling in the river. The town is so friendly and the pubs are great too. What more could you want? As you can tell, we loved it. Would we stay there again? You bet!
