Caynham Court Reviews

Stephen
We had a thoroughly enjoyable time on our long weekend at Caynham Court. The bedrooms are wonderfully spacios, with some amazing bathrooms, we loved the powerful monsoon showers. The lounge is enormous, plenty of room for our party of 20 peple and three dogs, with the big log burner a great focus of attention. The kitchen has plenty of room for preparing largescale meals, particularly liked the steam oven, first time had used one, which cooked the salmon to perfection. The dining room easily held twentyand has great views across the field. The owner was welcoming and on hand to deal with anything that came up. A great experience!
Alison
We had a fantastic long weekend at Caynham Court for a birthday celebration. There is so much space in both the communal areas and the bedrooms we stayed in winter so didn't use the outdoors other than a few walks around the immediate grounds. The furnishings are comfortable and homely and fitting of a house of this age and character, and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything was as described, and the owner is on hand and very responsive to any queries. Would highly recommend.
Great location and property, great place to stay for our wedding. The host was very friendly and accommodating. A lot of room for the guests and grounds for the dogs to run around.
Richard
The house was beautiful, facilities were excellent and our host very kindly came and lit the fire for us on a very wet, miserable Saturday evening. Only one small suggestion would be to improve the lighting in the kitchen. We would definitely consider returning.
First of all, we had an absolute fabulous joint family holiday week at Caynham Court, not in the least because of the excellent weather we enjoyed. The spacious building, bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchen and dining area created a lot of space for a group of almost 20, which is not easy to accommodate, but it did so easily. Bathroom and shower facilities in each room were fabulous. Yet at the same time the atmosphere was very homely through the decoration and furniture of the living room and the rest of the house. Highlights of the day were our joint family evening dinner meals in the dining room when everyone was seated at the big table enjoying perfect family atmosphere. The few minor glitches we caused during the week were resolved amicably by our host. Caynham Court is for us certainly a place to visit again!
The photos do not do justice to this place. It is truly magnificent. Very much as described and the owner shared lots of useful local information. I hired Caynham court for a family celebration and used one of the recommended caterers and she was excellent. The listing, if anything plays down what is actually there and you would want for nothing. We had an absolutely brilliant long weekend.
All enjoyed the stay. Two observations, we were looking for a place that could accommodate the number of people , this was good. It would have been helped to facilitate more accommodation aspect if there could have been some rooms with single beds in. Secondly the towels were too small for the excellent showers. Otherwise all was good and can only be recommended.
Everybody was impressed with the property and facilitirs available, it was well equipped and everything was there for a very enjoyable stay The building is stunning and very impressive , bedding was amazing everybody said they slept well. And in such comfortable bedding. We had a first class weekend house party which made the birthday celebration so very special
We were a family group of 3 generations and 3 dogs having a weekend together at Caynham Court. There is lots of space and the rooms are huge. We worried about the rooms being cold but neednt have as it was super toasty for the whole of our stay. The log fire was on throughout our stay and was much appreciated. We didnt get to explore the grounds much as it rained torrentially during our stay, but they looked lovely. The beds were very comfortable and ensuites huge with lots of hot water. We cooked big meals and enjoyed the spacious dining table for food and games. The kitchen had most of what we needed for cooking, though struggled with deciphering the cooker symbols. The hosts were on hand and relaid the fire each morning which was good. All in all we had a great time. The property is casual and comfortable and a property to definitely relax in. We would definitely consider again in the future.Thank you.
