Rolling Hills Reviews

Katherine
Wow! What an amazing place! The area is exceptionally beautiful and words cant do justice to the buildings my friends and I shared. The yurts are warm and cosy with a gorgeous log stove, a super kingsize, extremely comfortable bed with lovely soft and warm quilts and covers. You can lay in bed and look at the stars through the glass roof or watch the sun set or rise. In the main house there are two comfortable bedrooms, two fantastically spacious wet rooms, amazing showers and a kitchen to cook and bake to your hearts content. There is absolutely everything you could wish for. Plates, cups, glasses, pans, baking trays and so so much more! Its truly awesome! We had the most wonderful holiday in such a blessed space. I didnt want to leave and cant wait to come back again. It was so warm and welcoming. I cant believe its called glamping, its way beyond that. It was luxurious. The only advice I would give anyone is to bring all your shopping needs etc with you as it is off the beaten track but so, so worth the visit. It was definitely my happy place. Thank you for the best holiday Ive ever had!
Elizabeth
Lovely situation and roomy accommodation. You have to be prepared for 15minutes of single track roads on all journey out and in. However apart from getting lost once the few vehicles we met did not cause a problem. It's such a long way from where we live it's likely to be a one off but I would recommend it to anyone wanting a secluded holiday. We found we were a little short of toilet paper, perhaps a spare in one of the bathrooms would help particularly for full occupancy
Hannah
Superb accommodation, very comfortable and literally as advertised ' surrounded by nature' extremely peaceful! loads of room for kids to play both indoors and outside! The glamping experience was very much enjoyed! Very helpful hosts!
Lovely location, lots of space for a large group. The round houses were very spacious, would definitely come back!
Beautiful place wonderful view very peaceful family friendly place
We had a fantastic week at Rolling Hills

What a fantastic place, clean, comfortable, well equipped, they have thought of ... What a fantastic place, clean, comfortable, well equipped, they have thought of everything and on top of that is the location itself, either sat having a brew at picnic table in the morning or the group having a bbq in the evening , followed by sitting round the firepit at night, just couldnt of asked of anything more 5 stars from us

Overall a good place for a group holiday. Very spacious, clean and well equipped kitchen.Surrounded by beautiful fields with sheeps, cattles. Ideal for nature lovers. Owners were helpful. Would recommend.
We were so pleasantly surprised by Rolling Hills, the views are idyllic. The home is equipped with so many extras to enjoy during your stay, games, books and ample crockery and glassware for a full house. The beds are huge as are the showers, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to come back again next year.

We had a lovely break over Christmas. The house was great exceptionally wellequipped kitchen was great for cooking Christmas dinner. It worked really well for us as an extended family with everything really carefully thoughthrough, and lots of space. We were really grateful for all of the kind touches like milk, bread, butter, biscuits etc. The roundhouses were really comfortable and cosy. The setting was absolutely stunning the views were beautiful, the peace and quiet wonderful and we were able to walk from the door. We would really recommend staying here.
Had a wonderful stay in the Rolling Hills recently, lovely and peaceful with great views and nobody for miles. Had all the amenities we needed including hammocks, which were a nice touch! Perfect for a weekend getaway, would highly recommend.
Perfect accommodation for our family of eight adults and 4 grandchildren 37 years. Beautiful setting with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. We stayed for two nights and didn't venture away from the accommodation. Facilities top notch and very nice to have milk, eggs, bread, coffee and milk provided. Highly recommend

This place is beyond beautiful. If youre looking for a quiet, secluded and relaxing trip away, I can highly recommend this. All the amenities you need, the beds are comfortable, the place is spotlessly clean and the owners cannot do enough for you. We had a wonderful stay and definitely hope to return in the future.

This is a great property and an ideal location for exploring the area. The accommodation was well equipped with everything we needed and we were particularly impressed by the array of games and books. It was lovely that you provided a starter pack of essentials such as bread milk and eggs. It would be handy if you provided a set of steps for those of us who are vertically challenged as didnt like using the chairs to get to the top of the cupboards. Toaster needs looking at as only one side is working. Also there is an issue with the thermostat on the bottom left oven. Despite these minor issues we will definitely be looking to stay again.

We loved our stay at Rolling Hills and had a great time from start to finish, we didnt want to leave! It is the perfect place to escape from daily life, with amazing views from the property and outdoor space. It is the little things that make a difference. The owners had left biscuits, tea, coffee, milk, eggs and more. This was a thoughtful touch. They gave us lots of local recommendations and they also responded promptly when we had a small issue. It was very clean and the facilities were brilliant, comfy beds, consistent hot water in the main building and lovely showers. The BBQ area and spacious kitchen with large dining table are perfect for meal times. The only feedback we could give is maybe some form of clothing rail in the bedrooms for longer stays and some form of blinds on the roundhouse skylights for bright mornings. The games area was a big hit with both the children and adults, as well as chilling in the hammocks provided and stargazing on the clear nights. The children also loved adventures down to the stream at the bottom of the hill. Overall we would definitely recommend and hope to visit again in the coming years. Thank you to the owners for the effort you put in to making this place as wonderful as it is!

Thank you for a very enjoyable stay at Rolling Hills. We loved both the beautiful location and great facilities at your holiday home. The range of games and sports equipment was really loved by children and adults, the kitchen equipment was plentiful and in great condition and the bedrooms and roundhouses were extremely comfortable and enhanced our stay.
Super holiday property for our group of 3 families. Everything has been thought of and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for everyone. The kids particularly liked the games table, dartboard and cinema room. The beds were all very comfortable and the wet room showers were lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and we were grateful for the 2 fridges and the huge dining table.

We stayed at rolling hills for a week, there was 11 of us all together and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The most peaceful and relaxing place we have ever been too. The place was a good 10 minute drive from anywhere but we didn't mind and loved this. It was nice to spend lots of quality time with the children going on bug hunts and exploring the surrounding area. The hammocks where a major hit and used everyday by both the adults and the children. Only quarms we had where the kettles needed descaling that was it really any issues we had where addressed right away after a quick message. We will most probably be returning at some point in the future.
Susanna
Amazing week, such a lovely place where everything has been thought of. Kids loved the space and roamed the field, the kitchen was spacious and well equipped, showers were hot, beds comfy and views beautiful. All 3 families enjoyed and would highly recommend, thankyou.
Great place to stay, lots of space inside and out. It takes a while to get anywhere because of the narrow roads but we thought it was worth it because the location was beautiful and so peaceful.
Hannah
Beautiful stay and in the most amazing area. The owners really went above and beyond to make it a great weekend. Thank you!
A really amazing place with fantastic views and surrounding heritage
Benjamin
Rolling Hills was such a special place to stay. We are a large family who love walking and spending time in the great outdoors. The property was perfect for this sort of holiday. It is set in the most beautiful location which feels adventurous but it is also cozy and easy to keep clean. There are lots of lovely places to visit within easy striking distance so it's a good base to explore the area. The grounds themselves are also very spacious so stay at home days are just as fun!
Such a lovely place to stay. A great fully equipment kitchen, hot lovely showers, beds and bedding to curl up in. The surrounding are beautiful and so peaceful.
Raymond
Excellent accommodation in a truely rural environment. The Roundhouses are luxurious and spacious.
We had a fabulous holiday at Rolling Hills and would highly recommend to any families who love stunning views, walking, peace and quiet. The space was great for our group of 11 and allowed separate families privacy when needed. The roundhouses are comfortable and are very warm and cosy when the wood stoves are lit at night this was a quick and easy process. The main building has a very large and wellequipped kitchen a spacious living room with enough sofas for everyone and a gigantic smart TV and a small games room, which the children loved. Highlights of our holiday included being able to let the children roam around the fields, walking along Offa's Dyke Way which borders the property, stargazing from hammocks outside and sitting by the pizza oven outside at night, listening to owls hoot. The accommodation is down an extremely bumpy farm track and the nearest shop is some distance away, so we appreciated the starter pack of treats from the owners. The only inconvenience was the lack of showers in the roundhouses, though there was a toilet and washbasin in each roundhouse and two large shower rooms a short walk away in the main building. We had a great break and would love to visit again.
Anthony
This is a very special place to stay right in the middle of the beautiful Shropshire countryside. There are lots of walks you can do right from the door, and the views from the property are amazing. There are also lots of picturesque and interesting places to visit nearby. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, and the owners are friendly and helpful. All round, a great experience!
Rachel
Rolling Hills provided the perfect break for us and two other families. Be prepared......to actually get there you drive down tiny lanes for a few miles, which was a little daunting at first. But once done a few times you get used to it and learn some lanes are easier to navigate than others! However, once there, it's idyllic. The views are absolutely beautiful! The kids enjoyed having the freedom to enjoy the countryside. And it was so peaceful. My absolute favourite part was the evenings, sitting around the fire pit, a glass of wine, chatting and looking at the incredible night sky without any light polution. First one to spot a shooting star!!!! The accommodation was ideal, two yurts plus bedrooms in the main cabin meant everyone had their own space, but could be together in the communal areas. It was incredibly clean and tidy, and the beds were so comfortable and enormous! I'd really recommend Rolling Hills for folk who want to get away from it all, enjoy quality time with friends or family in a stunning location.
Carissa
The photographs don't do any justice to the Rolling Hills. The views are stunning, and the property itself is clean and well stocked with games, blankets, and all the kitchen equipment you could need! The owners are lovely and respond to questions very quickly. We'd definitely stay again!
Wonderful place. Literally in the middle of nowhere. Lovely walks. All beds extremely comfortable. Fantastic for a relaxing quality family break.
Gurjinder
Our stay at Rolling Hills was absolutely amazing, this place is stunning and ideal for kids. It's clean and has a lovely kitchen bathrooms.Thankyou for making our stay so wonderful
Couple of very small issues which were sorted quickly by the owners who were very helpful. We had a lovely stay. Everything was excellent in every way. Beautiful views and lovely area. Very well equipped with everything we needed and very clean and comfortable.Wonderful isolation for peace and quiet and recharge your batteries.Short walk from property to Offas Dyke path. One member of the party had some difficulty as the lanes to access the property are very narrow and full of potholes as he has a low car. Will certainly return. Thank you for your great hospitality. Highly recommend for a quiet and peaceful holiday.
Jonathan
We had a wonderful time at Rolling Hills! The facilities were perfect and the scenery amazing. Thank you for making the whole experience so much fun, and for the special touches like pumpkins for the children, and prosecco for the adults! We will be back to see how the site continues to develop.
Jonathan
Second time we have been here and it will not be the last time
We loved the remoteness of this property lots of small lanes, and a steep gravel track to negotiate, but what a reward when you arrive. Glorious views and oh so peaceful. It was ideal for the children too we didn't have to worry about where they werewhat they were doing. The pizza oven was a great touch, as were the hammocks. The bedrooms are really spacious and airy, and beautifully furnished and very cozy in the cooler evenings with the woodburner. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and simple living, Rolling Hills is the place to go.
Steven
Wonderful place with everything you need provided for. A quiet place away from the crowds but also a safe place for children to let off steam and explore and connect with nature. A good find and recommended. It would be helpful to have information as to which roads are suitable for ordinary cars. The first day was spent getting lost as the satnav took us down lanes which simply became rubble or were gated. Other lanes vary from what one would expect, to heavily potholed. After a few days we found our way about but the person who has just bought a new Jag for the holiday may not be too amused!
Francesca
We had such a lovely, relaxing stay. Rolling Hills is located in a very quiet area, meaning we had a peaceful stay. They had great facilities, such as the outdoor BBQ, pizza oven and fire pit. There was also lots of toys and games, which the children loved, and the outside tap and hose came in handy for our little paddling pool. The hosts went above and beyond and the attention to detail made the stay even more comfortable. We couldnt have asked for a better stay. We would highly recommend and we will be back. Thank you! X
An amazing getaway in a beautiful scenic area of England. So quiet and rural, The ideal place if you want a relaxing holiday. Plenty of walks on your doorstep. We stayed for three nights and didnt need to leave the property. Definitely the place to go if you want a very relaxing and very quiet break away from the hustle and bustle.
Andrew
Our second stay at Rolling Hills, we had a great time again it's a lovely place to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. The addition of hammocks was a nice touch perfect for enjoying the view!
Incredibly well equipped kitchen. Stunning views of red Kites.
