Riverside Cottage, Derrynamansher

Very cosy and well equipped housenice quiet location but within easy reach of shops restaurants and bars

We had a lovely 4 night stay at Riverside Cottage in August. We were 4 adults and 4 kids and the house was perfect for us. Brian the owner lives next door and was really friendly and welcoming. He had a great knowledge of the area. With three large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there was plenty of room for our group. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped but perhaps a few more chairs would have been good for meal times. The house has a very comfortable living room with an open fire. A large TV and a multitude of board games are available to keep the family entertained. The house has a nice front garden and is positioned beside a lovely little stream small children would need supervised. There are lovely views of the mountains beyond from the front of the house. The sun room was not yet finished but it will be perfect to soak up the views when it is completed. There are small supermarkets within 5 minute drive and larger ones, including Aldi and Lidl, in Dungloe which is 15 minutes away. There are a few pubs within walking distance of tge house but we didn't try them. The house is a great base for exploring West Dongal. Mount Errigal is nearby as is Glenveagh National Park. We enjoyed visiting the multitude of stunning beaches withinn 10 minutes drive of the house. Dunlewy kayaking was also a real highlight. The nearby An Cuirt Hotel allows non residents access to their pool and spa for a small fee which would be great on a wet day. There is a great zoo farm behind the hotel which is worth visiting. We loved our trip to Riversude Cottage and wouldn't hesitate to book this lovely accommodation again. Thanks again to Brian for a great stay!
