Maesbury Manor Reviews

Jonathan
Lots of space, kitchen well equipped and plenty of seats in the lounge. Navigation pub a short walk away does a fabulous Sunday roast.
Alison
Lovely, clean, spacious accommodation. Kitchen was very well equipped! Plenty of mugs, glasses and crockery for our large party. Couple of minor issues light fitting in laundry room was broken, and light in small twin room did not work but lamp was available. We really enjoyed our stay and meeting the friendly owner and her even friendlier dogs and cat!
Considering I booked a home disabled people without knowing it was ideal. Lovely owner

First class property, out of the way a little, but highly recommended
We stayed for 6 nights over 20242025 new year. The house was lovely and warm and very inviting when we arrived, Christmas trees and lights adorned the house. It was very clean and comfortable. The 2 disabled bedrooms on the ground floor were exactly what we needed. The bedrooms upstairs are very spacious and well equipped with plenty of storage. The kitchen is very modern with all the utensils that are needed to cater for a large group. My daughter has serious disabilities and the owner was more than happy for us to have my daughters therapy dogs with us. We would definitely recommend a stay at Maesbury Manor. The house is very close to shopping stores and there is a small pub no more than 5 minutes walk, they do fantastic home cooked food.
As commented on by other people, the property has a little 'tired' appearance both in and out. Comfort and spaciousness are fine, but it is due for a good maintenance bash. Of which the newish ? owner is fully aware. Lack of full lighting in the kitchen is one that needs sorting urgently. Be nice to have mirrors in 'all' the bathrooms for shaving etc. Location and parking are fine, Navigation Inn a very short walk away does excellent food limited openings, and book your group, great place for a family gathering and anyone of limited mobility. Just the job!

On the whole the property was lovely and just what we needed. There are some areas that need a little bit of attention, such as descaling shower heads and some lightbulbs arent working. We would also have appreciated some guidance around what to do with binsbedding. However this didnt stop it from being a lovely house, the rooms were large and comfortable and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed which is unusual. We would recommend Maesbury Manor.
Enjoyed our stay, plenty of space for two families. 3 showers 2 are accessed through downstairs twin rooms, not a problem for us as children up early! Space for all at dining table.
Stephen
Great property and great location. Our eldest child uses a wheelchair and the property was perfect for his needs. Loads for children and adults to do in the local area, but teenagers might prefer a more builtup location.
We were a family group of 5 with one elderly person and one wheelchair user. The property was spacious enough and comfortable. The only important items missing for a disabled person are drop down rail for wetroom toilet and hand grip bars in shower area of wet room. As we knew in advance about this we took our own toilet frame. However our portable hand grips for shower wouldnt affix to tiles, so this was the only problem we encountered. Good location for exploring this part of uk.

Holiday accommodation was fine and well kept but but outside areas needed tidying and the gardens needed to be separated because of owners 4 dogs and cat which perhaps we should of been informed about in the information about the cottage. Also we could find no information pack in the cottage concerning appliances etc and recycling and we didnt feel like we wanted to keep distributing the owner to ask about these things.
Lovely property and surroundings. Accommodating host who dealt with any questions we may have had. All anybody could need whilst on holiday.
We had a bit of a problem on arrival as the owner wasnt expecting us and wasnt available to take calls. Following a call to Sykes the owner was located and offered to buy us a meal in the pub opposite while the house was prepared for us. The rest of our stay was excellent and we had no further problems. The house is comfortable and well appointed and we all enjoyed our stay. Some information about recycling, working the central heating and leaving instruction would have been useful, but we muddled through without and major issues.
Tracey
We had a fabulous family Christmas at Maesbury Manor. The house is so spacious and homely, even more so than the photos. It was lovely and warm and festively decorated. As we did a lot of cooking, especially with it being Christmas, the property could benefit from a few more pots, pans and utensils, especially for the amount of people it sleeps, and also some instruction manuals and information would be useful. However, that didn't spoil our visit, we improvised! The big social kitchen diner was great for family game time and the large comfortable living room was great for films. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend and return if in the area again.
Sharon
This was a fabulous property, and the owner was a very accommodating, ftiendly, lovely lady who understands the needs of individuals who require additional support and their carers. A great property for large group or even just a smaller family. Thoroughly recommended for all families especially those with specialist needs. Thank you.
