Benbulben View Reviews

Donnacha
A lovely house that is located by the coast with stunning views and conveniently located to many of the tourist spots of Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal. Max group 8 adults imo. 5 stars
Deirdre
The house was comfortable & warm & clean. The garden is not enclosed, as listed on the website. Hooks for coats would be really handy in the hallway and a few more chairs or stools.
The view was spectacular sadly the house was a great disappointment. Starting downstairs with the bedroom which gave my legs a rash after sleeping there for two nights I had move to a single bed for the rest of our stay , next the downstairs toilet which was dirty with dust around the skirting board also the toilet seat is broken and was unable for use of female guests in the living room the window needed a clean , upstairs in the bathroom the toilet seat again was broken and the bath was dirty , there wasnt enough bedding for early spring time and the note on the side table said not to use the heating so the nights were very cold, so the house not a place for someone to stay on a break and we were very disappointed as the house was a lot nicer online than in real life.
We were disappointed when we arrived at Benbulben View. The house was not clean and there seemed to be a lack of care. There was no information or instructions about the property or area. Spilt food was left in the freezer. I had to clean the kitchen before I prepared our evening meal.

Nice House. . Great location. . Fecilitires good . Neat and tidy.. It was clean, But could have done with a good run around with a duster. Skirting boards, wee nest of tables, tops of wardrobe and cupboards, behind bedside draw's etc also would be beneficial for future guest's to fixdo up the decking..

Had a delightful and peaceful stay at Benbulben View. Was well equipped to meet our needs and ideally positioned for touring the area. Central for visiting Donegal or Sligo which were approx 25 mins drive in each direction, Bundoran 5 mins which will get you most shopping goods. House was clean, spacious, everything in fine working order plus SKY TV a bonus to unwind after touring each day. Wonderful countryside and sea views from rear two bedrooms. Would definitely come back here. Stevie and Sharon JuneJuly 2022
There were several problems. The house was cold when we first arrived no instructions about heat, appliances, etc. The cleaning lady was finally reached by Sykes and she was able to turn on the heat after an hour or two. The dryer didn't work the first 3 days again, the cleaning lady had to fix it by just pulling the dryer out into the room because a hose was kinked behind it. The linens smelled so strongly of fabric conditioner we had to rewash them but no dryer!they gave me a rash, and so I slept in another bed wdirty sheetscomforter. All the bath mats were dirtyhad spilled soap on them. Old dog poo on the deck. And NOT a stunning view out the front bedroom as describedjust partially occupied houses. The house itself and surrounding area was beautiful The house just needed a good cleaning, working amenities, the fuse breaker had to be reset a couple times, perhaps more involvementcaring by the owner.
Good value house. It had all of the necessary appliances, was clean and spacious but not luxurious. Garden has lovely views of mountains and sea. Handy shop nearby but really dependent on Bundoran for supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.
The location was great, in Leitrim, but on the border with both Donegal, and Sligo. The views of the sunset from the garden on the nights it didn't rain were really beautiful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great and the lack of availability of restaurants due to covid closures, meant we had to eat in more than we would normally. This pointed up that while the house was generally well equipped, the kitchen could do with a few more utensils more than one tea towel, a serving bowl or two, a grater, more cutlery etc. It would also be great if there was a hoover in the house. Having to sweep down every room in a 5 bedroom house was very time consuming. Overall we had a nice family holiday, and the house location is ideal.
Facilities a bit tired. Dont think there are 2 king size beds, and all mattresses are pretyy cheap and nearing end of life expectency. Not enough pots and pans for 10 people!.
Elizabeth
The house was lovely plenty of room and clean. The backdoor and views were great especially for my wee girl in her wheelchair. Thanks wee had a great time.
